The Children - They are the Future of the Kingdom of God

Body
As I start my 22nd year of ministry, I have had a revelation in recent times of how important children are in the life of the church. Not that the adults members and participants are not of improtant worth, however, I find myself gauging how well Sunday Worship was based on the nummber of children in Worship. My concerns is that if we don’t have children in chrurch today, what will the church look like in the future? Proverbs 22: 6 says, Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. So we must encourage children to be part of the life of the church. To have children in church, parents, grandparents or someone else must bring them. Today, this is sometimes a problem, for many don’t think that being part of the church is important to their sprituality or necessary to be a Christian. But if not for the church, how will children learn about the love of Jesus Christ? How will children understand what it means to be part of the communion of saints? How will children understand the Sacriments of Baptism and Holy Communion?
