Archie Alfred Hodges, age 92, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, March, 9 2023. He was born on May 16, 1930 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Archie Amzir and Lenora Ellen (Stone) Hodges.

Archie married the love of his life, Rowena Ellen Robinson, on Dec.30, 1950, in Ft. Worth, Texas. Together they raised their 5 children: Shirley, Gilbert, Pat, Sandi and Maggi.

Archie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars, retiring after 20 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Archer City, Texas. He will be greatly missed by a loving family, friends and those who knew him.

Archie is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Aline Marshall, Francis Beasley, Ruby Bittle and Jarita Weyland; daughter Shirley Hodges, grandson Dirk Leatherwood and grandaughter Shellana Vargas.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ellen Hodges of Archer City, Texas; children Gilbert Hodges of Bryson, Texas; Pat Hardy and husband Mike of Archer City, Texas; Sandi Mc-Coy and husband Jimmy of Wichita Falls, Texas; Maggi Leatherwood and husband Paul of Bryson, Texas; siblings Charles Hodges of Modesto, California, and Billie Ashley of Castro Valley, California; along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
