Patsy JoAnn Deen Willeford, age 82, of Wichita Falls, formerly of Archer City, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, April 8, at her residence.

The family received friends from 9 a.m. Monday, April 10, in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church. Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 10, at the First Baptist Church of Archer City with Mikey Pesqueda, Pastor of First Baptist Church, and Roger Deerinwater, officiating. Interment was later with family only under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Patsy was born June 10, 1940 in Seymour, Texas to the late Hillie Arnett “Dizzy” Deen and Irene Berneice “Gig” Price Deen.

She graduated from Archer City High School.

Patsy married Willie Willeford on Nov. 1, 1958 in Archer City. He preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 2020.

Patsy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Archer City where she was the hostess and custodian for over twenty years. She loved the children from preschool to high school and they all called her “Miss Patsy”. All who knew her, loved Patsy and she loved them and always gave great big hugs. Her favorite pastime was watching Hallmark movies.

Patsy will be greatly missed by her daughter, Lexa Willeford Blake of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Fern Starnes of Archer City and Mary Crelia and husband, Buddy of Azle; two grandsons, Brice Blake and wife, Kayla of City View and Brady Blake and wife, Tracey of Lake Kiowa, Texas; five great-grandsons, Bennett, Callan, Beckett, Tucker and Chandler; three great-granddaughter, Gracelyn, Emmalyn and Haislie; sister-in-law, Pat Curbo of Lakeside City; brother-in-law, Rondol Willeford of Olney and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Lee Willeford on Nov. 2, 1963.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 756, Archer City, Texas 76351, the Archer City Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 198, Archer City, Texas, or Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
