Rose Schaefer, age 95, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior and joined her other family members on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, in the Chapel of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City with Roger Deerinwater of Archer City officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City. The family requests that you come dressed in casual attire.

Rose was born Aug. 7, 1927 in McAllen, Texas to the late Lester Rawlings and Flossie Leana Hemmerling Rawlings.

Rose and Dale Schaefer were married on Nov. 6, 1947 in McAllen. He preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 2015.

In 1965, Rose moved to Archer City and was a homemaker throughout her life. She loved sewing, word search and arts and crafts. She enjoyed going to the Archer Service Center, playing bingo and visiting with her friends. Her greatest joy in her life was spending time with her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Kelley and husband, Melton of Salado and Dalene Martin and husband, Darrell of New Braunfels; five grandchildren, Julie Lowack and Scott, Tommy Lowack and wife, Mindy, Staci Turner and husband, Michael, Cody Kelly and Sam, and Ross Martin; five great-grandchildren, Carter Lowack, Dillon Lowack, Ayden Martin, Jayden Wilson, and Jace Wilson; her beloved cat, Lil’ Bit and other extended family.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Lowack on August 6, 2010 and her son-inlaw, Vinson Lowack Jr. on June 14, 2020.
